I didn’t start the blog because I’m naturally a prolific writer. But, every so often, there’s something on my heart that makes me feel that I would spontaneously com-bust if I did not write it out. So, that’s why I started this blog. We’ll see where God takes it from here. I do hope that someone somewhere somehow might be blessed in some way.
I’m also am using this site to post some devotionals/messages that I’ve given as one of the pastors at Glory of Christ Fellowship in Elk River, Minnesota.
The name of the blog comes from 1 Corinthians 1:18 …
“For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”
The word translated “word” means “to proclaim”. So, consider this — the proclamation of the cross is the power of God for us who are being saved. The message that Christ died for our sins is the power of God to save us (justification) and it is the power of God to sanctify us (continued deliverance from the power of remaining sin). It’s not surprising then that Paul would say that he sought to know nothing but “Christ and Him crucified”.
Thank you for visiting! May God bless you with great joy in Christ.

Dear brother Jordan, may the Lord use this blog to bless many people around the world — keep to the title – the proclamation of the cross. Some will not like or understand it. Others will be saved by the message of grace and the cross will become for them their only glory. God bless.
Thank you so much for your encouragement, good words!
